The calls by various professional bodies and ordinary Ghanaians for the country to lockdown as a measure to curb the wild spread of the Coronavirus pandemic seems to have yielded result as the Ghana Police has released a deployment strategy plan to enforce the lockdown of four cities of the country, namely Accra, Tema, Kumasi and Obuasi.

In a document signed by the Director General of Operations of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Kwaku Boadi Pepra, both uniform and plain cloth personnel of the service would be deployed to enforce the lockdown of the four cities.

The document cited by ajnewsonline@gmail.com directs the various departments of the service from Operations, MTTD, Highway patrols, the CID, the Police Hospital and others to deploy personnel to ensure a total enforcement of the lockdown.

The document also directs the other forty regional commanders braise themselves towards any potential lockdown in their regions.
