TV3 Upper East Regional correspondent Eva Atiboka has pledged to unseat the Member of Parliament for the Builsa North constituency, Ranking Member for Security committee in Parliament and former Deputy Minister for the Interior James Agalga.
The 35 years old former senior reporter with Media General Network picked her forms when nominations for the NDC primaries were opened and filed on the 17th of July.
Submitting her filled forms, Miss Atiboka said she believes that the time has come for the youth to be at the front burner of leadership to tackle challenges that face their society instead of seating back to lament at the failure of people who do not understand their genuine concerns.
Miss Atiboka told ajnewsonline.com that there is a need for a conceited and selfless approach to solving the numerous challenges facing Builsa North constituency.
She intimated that issues like youth unemployment, lack of women empowerment, poor road network, poor sanitation among others have not been given attention in the constituency.
Some constituents that spoke to ajnewsonline.com described the young communications expert as a formidable force that can wrestle power from James Agalga who they said has disappointed the youth and therefore does not deserve a third term in parliament.
The tv3 former reporter is battling it out with a former member of parliament of the constituency Timothy Atabuadey and the incumbent MP James Agalga who she said has failed the people and must be shown the exit door come 24th August 2019.
